This ranges from stomach cramps and an unpleasant evening poisonous, to a slow and very painful death sort of poisonous. That stated, foraging food is relatively easy, the deadly plants are very few and far between, easily recognised and avoided, and the whole process is safe provided you know what you are picking. Follow that simple rule, and you will not go wrong. But here, as in life, you need to take an element of personal responsibility; you forage food and eat it at your own risk – if you misidentify something and subsequently spend 24 hours in the bathroom, we at the Forager’s Guide can accept no responsibility. Remember: the simple rule of thumb is...
IF YOU CAN’T IDENTIFY SOMETHING WITH 100% CERTAINTY, DON’T EAT IT!
